By submitting your article,
you agree to the following:
- You are submitting your original work that was authored by you.
This does not mean that we have exclusive publishing rights, but
rather that your submission is not plagiarism. Plagiarism is not cool.
- We reserve the right to make some editorial changes to your content.
Specifically, grammar (spelling, syntax etc) and what is used as the
articles excerpt on the landing page. Other than that, we are interested
in maintaining the spirit of the content, so we don’t look to add
anything other than grammatical changes. It’s your work and should be
represented as such.
- We reserve the right to change the title of the article. We don’t have
to do this very often, but good headline writing is an art. Some people
simply don’t have the talent. We want your article to be read, so we may
re-title some if they are drab or lack the appeal to be clicked. Again,
we are not interested in misleading titles, so they will always be
titled in the spirit of the article’s content.
- We usually associate an image to the article. The image would be in the
spirit of the writing.
What I need from you
If you’re a fairly regular writer (3+ articles per
month), we will create an account for you in our CMS. If you wish to be a regular writer
and we agree that you have the skills here’s what I’ll need so that we can properly promote your writing.
- Image to be used. Typically, a headshot of you. If you are not wanting to be identified, please let me know and we’ll come up with an
alternative.
- Bio information. If you have a long version, please send it along with a
condensed (3-4 sentences) version. We have bio info in two different
places, so this will help populate those areas. If you only have a short
version, that’s fine too!
- Website URL or wherever you would like people to go who are interested
in learning more about you.
- Email addy you want to be used.
